LM200 Long Range Laser Level Transmitter
Brand: ABB GroupThe LM200 laser level measurement transmitter is dedicated to long range applications.
It measures solids at distances up to 200 meters (656 feet) and up to 45 meters (148 feet) on opaque liquids.
It finds many applications such as ore pass level monitoring in mining, for instance.
The LM200 is also ideal for long distance positioning applications up to 400 meters, with the use of a reflector on the targeted object.
For instance, this can be used for tripper car positioning, providing a maintenance-free solution as the sensor will not wear because it is never in contact with the moving car.
The measuring laser uses invisible, infrared light.
There is a second, visible aiming laser to help with the alignment of the measuring laser.
The laser beams have very little divergence so that accurate targeting is easy even in silos or vessels that have internal structures.

- 90° ± 1° from Mounting flange
Pointing Laser Safety
- Intermittent IEC 80825-1 Class3R laser
- Laser comes on at Power up for 2 minutes, it can be turned back on for commissioning using the LCD2 communications and configuration device.
- A Class 3R laser is considered safe if handled carefully, with restricted beam viewing. with a Class3R laser the Max. permissible exposure can be exceeded when viewing the laser with the naked eye, but with a Low risk of injury.
